On site for training 8-4:30 PM, then remote after training

As the Administrative Assistant, you will provide essential clerical and operational support to ensure smooth daily functioning of the hospice care department. You will assist with patient coordination, scheduling, documentation, communication with families and providers, and maintaining accurate records across multiple systems. This role requires professionalism, sensitivity, confidentiality, and the ability to communicate effectively in a healthcare environment.

? What You'll Do

Provide administrative support to hospice leadership, nurses, social workers, and care teams

Manage incoming calls, emails, and inquiries with professionalism and empathy

Schedule patient visits, coordinate provider calendars, and update care documentation

Maintain accurate patient records and assist with tracking required forms and authorizations

Prepare reports, correspondence, and internal communications as needed

Support onboarding tasks, meeting preparation, and data entry across agency systems

Assist with maintaining compliance through accurate documentation and timely updates

Serve as a helpful point of contact for families, caregivers, and external partners

? Requirements

High school diploma required; Associate's degree preferred

Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical facility, hospice, home health, or medical office

Demonstrated ability to manage communications and coordinate tasks in a multidisciplinary care environment

Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and healthcare agency systems/databases

Strong customer service skills supporting patients, families, or healthcare providers

Professionalism, compassion, and ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
